Biography
Dylan (b.1989) is a multidisciplinary artist who lives and works in Arnhem (NL). From 2012 to 2017 he studied photography at the Fotoacademie in Amsterdam, where he graduated with honors.
His work is a direct expression of all that occupies his mind. In this he moves between the abstract and the literal to understand this thing called life. A questionable mind in search of intimacy and meaning. Being queer, his traumatic childhood, and the fact that he’s a victim of sexual abuse are a big influence in this.
In an intuitive and experimental manner, Dylan creates an archive that gives his work the opportunity to repeatedly enter into dialogue with each other. The use of different techniques and self-portraits are vital for the playful way in which he creates.
